ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Head High Second Floor Residency Program offers cultivated, supportive and inspiring surroundings to national and international artists wishing to realize an artistic project in Chiang Mai.
The artist residency, normally completed within two months, is focused on production, experience, critical discourse, networking, and local participation. Staying at Head High Second Floor, participants will become a part of a thriving artistic community with an active exhibition and event program and will easily and swiftly become well-acquainted with the creative, networked city that is Chiang Mai today.
The Artist Residency program includes curatorial support sessions, atelier visits, group critique sessions, joint explorations of Chiang Mai’s cultural landscape.
Residents will be provided with accommodation in furnished living/working studio with access to shared areas of Head High Second Floor.
A distinct quality of the Head High Second Floor Artist Residency program is, that there is only one resident in the respective period, what allows optimal individual support from our side for their art projects.
Generally, selected artist works towards some kind of public presentation in our Gallery. And some artists, such as those on a sabbatical, may simply want to come and concentrate on their work, embedded in Head High Second Floor‘s creative environment and organizational support structure.
Inquiries for specific periods are welcome. We accept both institutional and private applications.
